Dim Sum loosely translates to “ordering from the heart”. An array of small delectable portions is available for each food connoisseur to sample, keeping in mind that these bite-sized pieces allow ample room for a wide variety of dishes. Enjoying delicious food is truly a wonderful way to spend quality time with those close to you or to conclude a morning meeting. Basically, any reason is good enough to ask someone to “Yum Yum Cha?”
Yum Yum Cha? What does this mean? Phoneticaly, “yum” sounds like the word drink and “cha” for the word tea. Say our name fast enough, and you’re literally asking a Cantonese speaker to have tea with you. In the Chinese culture, no outing with friends and families consist of just tea. To “drink tea” also means to have Dim Sum.
